A journey through the passes and lakes of the Huayhuash Range, culminating in an ascent of Nevado de Pisco. Ten days of camps, mountain huts and Peruvian Andean landscapes.
Your itinerary.
Days 1–2An introduction to the Andes
Fly from Lima to Huaraz for the initial briefing. Transfer to Cuartelhuain and begin the trek towards the first camp.
Days 3–6In the heart of Huayhuash
Trek past Carhuacocha and over the Siula, Trapecio and Santa Rosa passes, camping in the range. Transfer onwards towards Pisco.
Days 7–9Nevado de Pisco
Ascend to Refugio Perú and Moraine Camp. Attempt the Pisco summit and descend to Huaraz.
Day 10Return with a new perspective
Transfer back to Lima according to the programme.
